First Post - Hello and a bit of advise needed, Band Saw

Thanks for the heads up on the tires. The machine I got was sitting for 20 years or more and they were cracked every 1/2" so I had to take the off.

So I will be building a shed, and other smaller projects as time goes by but overall it's not going to see a lot of use. Maybe some light metal cutting for small fabrication projects. Which tires are best for sitting more than using? Should I just save the $$ and get the rubber? $10 difference is nothing really over time.

For 'sitting' it does not matter if thee relieves the tension.

For occasional metal cutting I would think the rubber tires are preferable(think hot blade on urethane).
