Mark V attachments on 10E/R platform?

Post by rhartman2020 »

Are the Mark V attachments (bandsaw, jointer, belt sander, etc.) compatible with the 10E platform?

No, unless you have the Magma power mount adapters . They are VERY rare and expensive if you ever find them. Skip Campbell of MKCTools makes a power adapter for the 10E/ER that is cheaper than the original but right now he is in the process of moving so I don't know availability. Check his web site at MKCTools.com. I just looked and it is listed for $99.50 but again I am not sure what the current availability is due to his move.

Thanks! That saved me some grief. I'll check him out in case I want to go that route. Given that, the set-up I'm most likely looking for is a Mark V with bandsaw and belt sander. I prefer a conventional table saw and miter saw, and I have a radial drill press. But the combination of lathe, sander, borer, and band saw seems hard to beat to me, along with the flexible power supply for other occasional uses.
