Alignment of power side extension table.

You asked in your first post here,

Now which aux table do you have? 4 1/2" or 7 1/2"? Size????

Now I know you are a Goldie fan so we can let it slide but the Mark V 510 only has one size Aux. Table.

By the way, even though I do not have one right now I do like the Goldie colors best.

OK you are correct of course, but, I like to never make assumptions regarding relative newbe's accuracy when identifying anything!

Also I am in the habit of grabbing whatever aux table is nearest when I need the table for support only(no fence mount). So in my cloudy mind they are NOT model specific .

...The new double tilt end assemblies reduce the likelihood of this happening. The tubes need to be inserted fully (against the stops).

Standard Mark 5/V Bench and Way Tube lengths do not allow for the Way Tubes to be fully inserted. I don't know if M7 is the same. From the DT upgrade instructions:
"5. Center the Way Tubes in the Pivot Arms. You probably noticed that you will be able to slide the Way Tubes Left-to-right about 3/8". Follow the steps below to center the Way Tubes:..."
It goes on to explain centering the error, so all of the way tube ends are about 3/16" from fully inserted. My full size is still like that. When I built shop made DTs for my shorty I trimmed the Bench Tubes to allow the Way Tubes to fully seat.

We are kind of on a tangent here, discussing DT. DT has far fewer variables that contribute to error in the mechanical alignment of the left accessory mount relative to the right.

The majority of them remain. Only the tie bar and head rest differ. All the rest remains.

You are correct. The WAY Tubes on the double tilt can not be fully inserted (if assembled correctly)(at least not on both ends) and this is by design. I should have stated "BENCH TUBES". I have corrected my statement in the previous post.
