Taking apart of Trunnion on10-er

Post by Fireballxl5 »

I’m painting my shopsmith 10er and I need to know how to remove the cap on the trunnion where the wrench is. Does it just pull off or something else?
Thanks

The cap is has been center punched at the factory so it does not turn on the threaded shaft. For painting the table tie bar the entire assembly of the threaded shaft, wrench, cap and other parts can be removed/unscrewed from the tie bar.
