Re: Bandsaw Bearing Rehabilitation with Matthias
Yeah, I agree. Had to ignore the 2nd half of the video because of his complaints on the Shopsmith bandsaw design. Of course, I always take his videos with a healthy portion of salt, but I thought his scrap wood method of cleaning and greasing a bearing was interesting...JPG wrote: Sun Aug 08, 2021 1:19 pm As is typical for him, knows much but does not understand unusual things(especially if SS related).![]()

Re: Bandsaw Bearing Rehabilitation with Matthias
I like the grease repacking he came up with. He must like adjusting tracking on Bandsaws over and over and over again more than I do.

Re: Bandsaw Bearing Rehabilitation with Matthias
Agreed. Doesn't he sell plans for his homebrew bandsaws? I kind of figured any bias against the Shopsmith bandsaw is just because they are different from his design. He may not even be conscious of this bias...chapmanruss wrote: Mon Aug 09, 2021 1:27 pm I like the grease repacking he came up with.
