Not better...multiple times I have opened another browser tab to search for something on the Shopsmith website. When I return to the tab I had opened with me very recently signed into this forum, I am signed back out for some reason. Am I the only one this is happening to??? I shouldn't be signed out of the forum on one tab minutes after I had signed in, just because I open another tab with the Shopsmith main website at the same time.

Sorry, I wasn't aware this was happening. It looks like cookies (which keep login information) were setup wrong (using shopsmith.com instead of forum.shopsmith.com) at some point in the past. I have now corrected them. Let me know if there are still issues.

Nothing has changed. I think I created a new account though and can't find a way to log out and try again.

ETA: Deleted cookies. That logged my out. Going back in still has no order info.

I visited shopsmith.com and had to relogin here after admin's post, but now I seem to be remaining logged in so it seems to have been a one-time thing after admin's fix.

I noticed right away that the parts section is a vast improvement over the previous version, for sure!
Glad to have ordered replacement parts for my Dad old Shopsmith Mark V " Not Smart Motor " before the new web. Acttually the newer website.
Did the prices go up too? I paid $57 for the sheave few months back. Now it is $68. I could be wrong. I am just happy I still can get it.

Order history is still an open issue. The people working on the new site are still working on displaying the information.

Is the rest of Shopsmith up and running? I went looking on the site for my recent order. I can’t even find the order or even login to search for it. The Phone Number (Yeah, some of us still use voice calls), 937-890-5197, gives the three-tone phone noise for “Ain’t no such thing” and plays a recording that says the call can not be completed at this time. I even used two different phones, on two different networks, just in case AT&T was broken.

Anyone have any ideas?

1983 Mark V, original owner, overhaul in progress
I had my 5 year coin at Shopsmithaholics Anonoymous, but fell off the wagon and acquired another Greenie in August of 2024.
I can quit, any time I want to

I have an observation and recommendation for the Shopsmith website administrator about the new website.

First, there seems to be a compatibility issue with viewing the exploded parts diagrams using the duck duck go browser. The illustrated parts diagram appears blurry and grayed out when using duck duck go browser. When I use Chrome the diagrams appear correctly.

Second, I'd like to see the addition of a "Wish List" feature where you could place items that you're not going to purchase immediately. This would allow you to find items without searching for them again when you were ready to purchase.

Just my 2 cents worth. Not sure anybody is there to listen. Maybe there should also be a link to the webmaster/administrator where customers could submit problems or recommendations.
