Distance and hole size for SPT holder.

Re: Distance and hole size for SPT holder.
That is absolutely right, I do not plan to use this type of holder permanent. This is just temporarily. I'm rebuilding/painting still parts for my shopsmith and I wanted to get the units out that are already painted and assembled. To make a holder out of wood was not possible anymore and I did not want to produce sawdust in the area I use for painting. Printing it was the fastest and cheapest option for me. If I would create a permanent spt holder I would fill the voids with concrete to create more safety weight. For the jointer - I will present a solution in the next days, the printer is running.

Any chance you can make the STL file available for download?

Stand is definitely different from shat I would have expected. How much does it weigh?

Re: Distance and hole size for SPT holder.
as promised, my solution for the jointer, not much to say, a story in pictures:
(except, that is a prototype print, neither color nor quality are final)

Re: Distance and hole size for SPT holder.
Very creative. You made a Dust Chute that doubles as a stand.
