Could be as as simple a stuck or hungup belt.

Tripped the breaker on the reactivation of a 1960 Goldie 6 - 7 times before It came on line. In this case, never found any switch or wire problems, just belt problems. Confirmed that the motor would run/start w/o load by taking belt off lower (fan) sheaves. Problem reoccurred when reassembly got the belt under the control sheaves. Really good idea to lube the sheave shafts and make sure they move on the idler and motor shafts!

You are so lucky.... with a problem to fix, I'm so envious, these are fun to fix.

Chris -- Welcome to the Forum.

As dicksterp has indicated, I am also located in the Indianapolis area. It looks like you got a lot of stuff with your auction purchase. If I can be of any help, feel free to shoot me a P.M.

Good luck,
Chris
