Shopsmith closeout router table 'system'
In the 'closeout' ss ad, they show a pix of table apparently sitting on a table extension at the tail stock end. Any one know how it attaches(if it indeed does)? To get to 'closeout ad' see link below. Scroll down to "B,C" pix. TIA!

I think it mounts to an Extension Table Base 504273 and is further supported by an Adjustable Table Leg.
I don't have exactly this same table but rather the one pictured at the end of the advertisement (Items B,C).
Yes, what Woodburner said.

I am confused. I thought the table IS that pictured in "B,C" but without the guard(B) and fence(C) options.dusty wrote:I think it mounts to an Extension Table Base 504273 and is further supported by an Adjustable Table Leg.

That is a different table shown in the B,C picture. The reference to that picture is for B, the router guard and C, the adjustable fence. The table on special mounted on a stand, not the Mark V. That being said, any Shopsmither worth his or her salt could always figure out a way to mount it on the Mark V.

SS describes it as "tops for Shopsmith's original free standing router system (1990's predecessor of today's Over Pin Router)." 18" x 30" X 1 1/16"dusty wrote:Is the table on sale the old OPR table????
PIx "B,C" sure does look like top picture. I realize WHAT it says re 'plans for stand' but since the lower pix showed it apparently somehow mounted to SS by spt / table? tubes, I wondered WHAT the original "ENTIRE SET" did. YES my considerations include figuring out how to mount it to SS if I decide 'IN TIME'..
The purpose of showing "B,C" is to illustrate the "OPTIONAL GADGETS(Fence, Guard)" I assume ON the 'table' being closed out.

I think the router table on sale is for the old free standing OPR. I have a couple of the old ones and really enjoy them. If you needed to replace the table on one of the old ones this would be a great deal. I also have a couple of the under table router tops that SS offers or offered. They fit on the end of the SS with an extra stabilizing leg and share some of the same hardware as the old OPR. I was getting ready to stick this one in storage and decided to post a pic for what its worth.
