When I was restoring my first 10ER a while back, I fought with PVC and dowels until my wife suggested something that worked perfectly. Magazine pages. They're thick and slick enough to not soak up much paint. Just tear out 3 or 4 pages, roll them up together, stick them in the hole, then unroll until they fill the hole. Simple and effective.

These would work great. These are cheap versions and available in the borgs. Maybe not worth the price unless you are doing multiples.

Normally I would coat the ID of the holes with thin coat of Vaseline instead of tape but I was experimenting. Vaseline works the best. Just don't get any on your surfaces you want paint to stick to.

Manufacturing facilities use these to mask off holes for painting and plating. If you can find a place that sells singles, go this route FOR SURE.

I just tried with IE, it worked. Firefox got scre--d again by Mr. Gates.

More and likely a lazy developer didn't use "standards". But MY Firefox has always worked at that site.
