Dado Table Insert

I just purchased the 6" Dado blade/cutter set from Shopsmith. I was thinking I needed a table insert for it, but I can't find one on the SS site. Also I have seen two different kind of dado inserts for sale on eBay. So, obviously I'm confused right now, can someone thelp me with this?

Hi,

You would be looking for a 555120 for the 505/510/520 model and the 505621 for the 500.

Still Waters 43,

The oval shaped table inserts are for the older table system (Model 500). The inserts that are round on one end and squared off on the other end are for the newer 505, 510 and 520 table systems (Note: the 505 and 510 have the same main table, but the 505 did not come with floating tables and connector tubes).

Yes, you can still get a new SS dado table insert. No, you do knot need one; you can create your own inserts.
