I haven't noticed any dust problems beyond what are normal. I do get some dust on the lower tire -I've been thinking about building one of those little tooh-brush sweeper mods that I've seen on the forum.
I did not cover the window with plastic. In general, my dust collector seems to move enough air to where it isn't a much of a problem.
