Factory Service Alive and Well

Post by nuhobby »

Just noticed this new feature on Shopsmith.com:

http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... epairs.htm

I may also take them up on sharpening in the future!

Good to know. I'm one of those guys who only likes to fix it myself if it is fun to fix, or if I don't care if it becomes disposable. :D

How old is that page?

That page was there before Shopsmith, Inc. went out of business. I thought I read where all the factory-based work was no longer offered.

I haven't called them yet. But for instance the picture of somebody accurately setting up Planer Knives was also used in recent e-mail promotion for new knives. You could send your whole knife/bearing assembly to Shopsmith, and they'll do the setup.
