click buy next to #57.
I ordered a part earlier last week that hasn't shipped yet, so I'll call tomorrow, maybe it's on backorder.

That link is knot working for me.

edit: Red's link did work, however. I just learned something new! I have never ordered that way. Good to know. Thanks.

Well, Part #57 is the poly-v version, with 14 splines. Called SS and they confirmed it was the gilmer version I was ordering, I paid for priority mail, and got it almost 3 weeks later. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I would start with a call to customer support (yes, again. sorry). they need to know that they sold you the wrong part and gave you bad info. since they are once again offering headstock maintenance, they may have a used one that they would send you as an apology (from doing the upgrade for a customer).

after that, you probably have a choice between doing the poly-v upgrade or looking for the used part from someone else who has done the poly-v upgrade (either an individual or someone who does a lot of headstocks).

please be sure to let us know how customer service reacts.

good luck.

Argh, Upset with SS. Called C-service, explained the situation. They did have a drive & ring 6 spline,he said that the only function is to reduce noise. (Good thing since I've been turning without it for a few weeks. $18.16 w/shipping. Told me that If I wanted to return the 14 spline, It would be $7.80, $2 more than their cost to ship it to me. So, anybody have a need for a 14 spline Poly-V drive and ring assembly? I guess I'm in almost $40 to "Reduce noise"
