It may be that I have just hit it at the right times but I have had an issue accessing the forum site. YET.
Make today a day that lets you smile!

I think this really has to do with the path that is taken for your data packets to reach the Shopsmith server. We don't always arrive there on the same data port. Some ports work and some don't...apparently.

I could not get on an hour ago and now I am. Who Knows??

Hi; I have the problem repeatedly this past weekend.I get the "DNS server not found" or "Internet Explorer can not display the website" messages.
I get the error messages at least 12 to 15 times before I get on. As someone else said "VERY FRUSTRATING". I even get the message occasionally when switching from "Community" to "Maintenance and Repair" for example. Kind of like getting kicked off the site. Getting old is frustrating !!!!

[quote="wa2crk"]Hi]Are you saying that when the error message occurs if you just continuously reattempt to get on that you typically manage to do so?

When I get kicked off, I typically go do something else and come back in an hour or so and often find everything working (momentarily, at least).

Be Aware: The crew at Shopsmith is aware of the problem and they are working on it. I have exchanged several PMs with them. It is the intermittent nature of the problem that makes it so difficult.

How come some of us have never had these problems????? Is it the route your ISP uses?

This looks too simple to be accurate! Am I missing something, or do not have it setup properly? Or have I installed a worthless version?

With the problem being very intermittent and the down periods being relatively brief and all of us accessing the site at different times, it's not surprising that some people experience the problem a lot and some people never experience it.

No, that does not look right. I would expect it to look more like the one that reible posted. Did you click on Trace (upper right corner) to start the trace?

You read the ISP from a simple trace. Start/Run/Type tracert shopsmith.net click on OK
