Hey all on a recent purchase for parts Mark VII I came across a Somewhat repair job on a control cam and just had to share it.
It looks as if the guy put some thin aluminum on the inside then built a end from bondo or a rosin type compound although he didnt make it complete as you can see......
I guess you would not be able to get either the low speeds or the higher speed as you cant go all the way around with it and when I got it the motor
would run but the dial had been turned to far and walked off...........

Does anyone know what type of plastic the cam is made of?

I believe it was generally referred to as "nylon". It and the rack on the way-tube both.

Zytel looks/acts a lot like a more translucent nylon cousin.
