8iowa, could you post pics of your fence extension showing how it is attached to your fence and how the lip is aligned with the table. A good roller stand, like Rockler's Heavy Duty "flip top" stand (Rockler's #43399) will also aid considerably when ripping long boards.
For my outfeed, I simply built a plywood table with two legs that adjust and collapse. Will try to post pics when I figure out how to attach it here.
