I have a planer on it's own powerstand and the square key (ref #110 on the parts lits) has come out twice now.
has anyone had this problem and/or do you know if there is a trick to get it to stay?

I have not been to the shop to verify but I believe the square key is held in place by a set screw in the pulley. I would check first for a loose/missing set screw. To reduce the likely hood of a repeat, I would replace the set screw.

I will let you know if this works.
Make sure it is BLUE Locktite!
