Got it the third time. I do not know what was wrong but after 3 attempts removing and reinstalling I was able to do a high speed adjustment and everything works great.

This was the nastiest head stock I have ever torn down. I was surprised to find all the bearings smooth and after a good cleaning everything look pretty good.

The legs had enough rust on them that I decided to sandblast and repaint.

and a few other woodworking tools.
And JPG I never did find the head for the miter gauge but I did find this brand new in a bag along with receipts where the original owner spent $1746.71 on a 520 upgrade and some other accessories.
I still need a cover screw and retainer. I guess I'll order that along with a new belt tomorrow.
Conclusion:
10 hours round trip, 2 days cleaning and servicing. A hundred dollars on Evaporust, blasting sand, and other needed supplies. Was it worth it.

PS: The other caster set is still soaking in the rust remover. Oh and what I thougt was weld splatter turned out to be black paint splatter so no real damage. I decided to set it up on some shorty tubes that I already had. This is going to be my dedicated machine for a 3/4 inch dado.

I have a set of shorty tubes and an extra 510 set of tables...I will have to try this. Maybe this has been discussed before, but I wonder if the tubes need to be a little longer than the standard shorty to allow for the larger carriage and wider main table.
Mark 7, Pro Planer, Jointer, Bandsaw w/Kreg, Biscuit Joiner, Belt Sander, Jig Saw, Ringmaster, DC3300, Overarm Pin Router, Incra Ultimate setup
Yes mine would have worked better if they had been about 2 inches longer. The table will not lay flat as in drill press mode with out hitting the headstock. I would play around with a full size set up before deciding upon the best length.
