Hi all, it seems I am missing the 'Tailstock Knob' that allows on to affix the tailstock to the base plate arm without having to have the extension table in place. Anybody know the specs on this item? I likely have, or can get, a bolt of the appropriate size without resorting to ebay.
Thanks much,
Derek in Vancouver B.C.

The thread is 1/2 - 13, the length is 1 3/4" with threads to 1". If you have the long table bracket, a small head(like a cap screw) otherwise one of the big aluminum headed screws will work.derekdarling wrote:Hi all, it seems I am missing the 'Tailstock Knob' that allows on to affix the tailstock to the base plate arm without having to have the extension table in place. Derek,
I happen to have a bolt with knurled knob which meets that description that came in a box of extras with my Goldie. It is a 1/2"-13 bolt, 1 1/2" long. After JPG confirmed a few of the parts in that box were for the 10ER, I suspected this was one. I downloaded some literature and found it fit this style of knob.
Here is a photo. The threads are somewhat worse for wear but they grip and hold after being cleaned up a little. Say the word and it's yours. I would be glad it found a useful home. PM me if you are interested.
