What's everyone doing for the weekend?
Anyone else heading to the woods for their holiday?
The hills outside Boise have snow on them again:eek: When does it end?
Maybe that guy was just predicting the end of Summer as we know it and not the end of the world.

I am going to visit my daughter in Joplin and maybe help clean up the debris in her yard. I will sight see some when I am there as long as I don't get in the road of clean up efforts.

Well I wish you all a nice memorial weekend.
We (canadian) had our Patriot's day weekend last weekend. It was nice.
Hope the weather changes for the best and we are very sorry to ear about those people who lost everything during those storms.
It's been raining today and forecast is more rain for tomorrow and saturday in our area. The rivers are pretty high.
Is this unstructured enough !

We will probably be burning limbs again, and again...
Followed several twisters on radar and weather channels. One was about 6 miles south of us. We did not have the hit of it but we did have a lot of small pieces of stuff falling out of the sky. One piece was a piece of that fiberglass sheet material that they often use to line buildings like hog barns. Hard telling where it came from. We drove through Greensburg IN about 16 miles south east of us this morning. It is a mess all along the west and south side. Hundreds and hundreds of damaged houses, many of them seriously. Only saw a few totally destroyed. Airport badly damaged along with that nice park by the airport and fairgrounds. Lots of big trees down at the golf course...
There was also damage at the track/casino about 6 miles north of us. Otherwise we were pretty lucky. There were a number of tornadoes around the state but nothing even remotely close to the one at Joplin.

This weekend, I hope to put in an electric fence underground for my dogs. I have had the thing for 2 months now but have not been able to put it in due to the rain. Hopefully, it will hold off on the wet weather long enough for me to put it in.

Hope the clean up goes well from the twisters. Glad I didn't have one up here. We did have hail though, about quarter size was the largest I saw. Luckily, not damage here other than the plants took a beating.

I have one that I installed myself. It wasn't a real big deal. The hardest part was being on the ground all the way around the yard. You don't ned to go deep, just drop enough to protect the wire. Mines about 2-3 inches underground.

yep, we are going about 3 inches deep or so around the property. Home depot rents a cable trencher that will feed the cable, dig the trench, and bury the line all at the same time. For my 1 acre of land, it will take about 3 hours.
