I would not be able to afford the artillery. I have twenty nine names on my ignore list (spammers).

Visiting a new grandson in KS and moving youngest son back to Colorado. He will be teaching at our high school and coaching football with the old man! I always take a moment to remember the 42 men of the 4TH Inf. Div. LRRPS and Rangers who gave their lives in the Highlands of Viet Nam, and all of those who gave all for this country.

How is this for "unstructured"... We have a 17 acre mini-farm in the next county that sits along one edge of a small village. We border with at least 12 other property owners... That and a double span very log wooden covered bridge sits across it and the county has a right of way across us for it. We have owned it for 40 years and people have been trying to steal bits of it by just using it going back even before we owned it. Right now I am battling some "neighbors" both of which have built stairways down the hill from their houses to our river property... Much of those stairs are on our property. One guy has been warned twice by law enforcement to stay off and just ignores it. I am now in the middle of prosecuting him. I just wanted him to have to explain to a judge why he cannot not stay off and have him ordered to pay my surveyor to mark his lines again since he has moved so much stuff. Funny thing though is the prosecutor's office is talking jury trial... He was sneaking on our place when a good friend there was gone but this week he got caught dead to rights... He was so blatant that the sheriffs office is pretty tee'd off at him and I think determined to make an example of him.
All we have ever asked there was to be left alone but people think that since we do not live there anything they want is up for grabs. They even steal rocks... One contractor for the county decided that it would save him money to steal some cut stone from the base pad where a stationary steam engine once sat to use to make repairs to a bridge pier. The stone would have only cost him about $50 at a quarry only a mile away. One of his employees also took a pick-up load of it home to build a BBQ. The employee had to bring what he took home back and stack it and the contractor had to pay me about $1500 for what he used in the bridge pier...
I am about one of the nicest guys around to most people but high on my $#!% list is not a very safe location.

Because I could... ;)
I'll bet he thought very carefully about how he handled his next job. BTW, The county banned him from ever bidding any work for them again. It was a very costly bit of stealing...

I intended to mention that the real reason for the high price was that the steam engine pad was put in about 1880 and there was no way to ever put it back and make it be that old again. This is a fairly historical piece of property. They just ripped it apart with a forklift... The steam engine was used when the river was too low to run the water wheel well enough. It was a grist mill and sawmill.

I'm technologically impaired. Can someone explain what spam is? (a spammer must be someone who spams.) Where it comes from? How to get rid of it? And anything else I should know. Or send me to a link that provides an understanding of these topics in basic English. Thank you.

Why do people have to be told to stand for the passing of the flag during a parade? Especially Memorial Day:confused: My kids have been taught flag etiquette and respect from day one and it truely "burns my britches" when people continue to sit, leave their hats on, continue on as if nothing is going on, yet the old vets will struggle to get out of their wheelchair to stand for the flag:mad: GRRRRRR
