Ok, this thougt has some structure, but I have a question.
Money is tight right now for us, and I'm thinking of all the things I want to make and all the little things I need to fix on each SPT to get everyhting in tip top shape. (hard to justify the money).
Are any of you folks, other than the cabinet guys, making and selling wood projects? If so, what sells these days or what is a good direction to go. I'm not the top craftsmen as some of you but I can learn. I'm just thinking of usinig the SS to turn a dollar right now to help out......ahh, humility. :o

well as soon as I get my SS back up and running I plan to make boxes and turn pens to try and turn a buck. I think I might also build a few end piece cutting boards as well.

I have a very good friend of the family that makes wood toys and sells them in the local farmers market. His son turns bowls and other things and sells them at the same location.

Spent 22 hours this past weekend digging out a crawlspace under my home to replace a clay tile / cast iron septic line. Finished up the new piping on Monday afternoon. So much dirt to remove now but that can wait now that I have plumbing again.

Now I get to start working on the parade float for the young marine group. I did figure out what I was going to use for the tread. I work with a sheetmetal shop and the foreman is going to cut out an 8 inch band and hem the edges so they aren't sharp. Then I am going to attach 2x4s cut down to look like tracks with sheetmetal screws. Hopefully it will work like a charm. :D

When you have horses running all over the place everything looks like a horse... :D
