Original Incra jig with OPR
Moderator: admin
On page 23 of the manual for the Routing System (original OPR), there is a note that references the threaded holes designed to accommodate "the optional Shopsmith Router Fence, Shopsmith Feather Board or Incra-Jig universal positioning accessory". Along with the manual my OPR came with two Incra-Jigs and a 1989 Shopsmith Catalog. The catalog included both the OPR and the Incra-Jig. Back then you could get one jig for $39 or two for $74. The free standing OPR went for $399 back then.

Jig mounted with a board and clamps.
# 190 Inserts could be added to the table but, the insert population is heavy in that area. Using the jig mounted on board and clamped to table seems to be the most effective way to position for a cut.

#194 As for the new Mark V mounted OPR and the Incra Jig position would need to be on the left side of the table.

I hope some ideal of what an Incra Jig and new OPR will work. There is not much area to mount the jig on the Mark V OPR. You are welcome.
The stand alone OPR is very versatile. The overarm is good many things but the under table router is more forgiving. You have that chance to go back over the cut and correct it. With the overarm if board rises there is no going back and smoothing it up. I also have a 16" Incra Jig that will retract 12 inches or more til it reaches the column.

I use the shaper fence on the stand alone powered by a 3 HP Ryobi 600 RE at the low speed setting.

Used mostly to powered a door edge bit that I have.

The Power Pro will maybe some day give option of a limited horizontal router.

Hello - I just tried a spin of my own! I only lately bought this Incra jig and I think it's a super value.easterngray wrote:Has anyone set up their overarm pin router to work with the original Incra Jig? I would love to see your set up- thanks - Alec
My last method of box-joints was a little cumbersome but fun, using a sled and the Adjustable Stop Collar:

This time putting the Incra Jig on my sled sped things up. It did work]13573
