The title is "Mike Nelson and the ShopSmith Mark V" so Sea Hunt would seem to be correct. That show ended in '61 so it being a brownie probably isn't out of the question. Looks like it to me.

Just FYI, I did a search for actors in IMDB (Internet Movie Database) and there was only one Mike Nelson listed. He happens to be the human commentator on the old Mystery Science Theatre 3000 series. Here's a pic of Mike Nelson.
