1/8th inch bandsaw blade..
so I began making bandsaw boxes, but am stuck with 1/4 blades, which I need to change to 1/8th.
Doubtful I will order from ShopSmith directly so what exactly do I need, to get the right fit, what are the numbers....
of course if really cheap I might just order from SS directly.

local big box
Image my surprise when I found band saw blades at Lowe's that will fit my machine. Locally they stock both 1/8" and 1/4" for under $10 each. They seem to be decent blades so far. At that price I can go thru 2-1/2 and still be money ahead over a factory original.

They really help out with the really narrow blades.rele wrote:good to know, and what the heck are cool blocks etc?

The "Big Boxes" won't do that.

Those are very good blades. I used to use them when I had my sawmill and they seem to stay sharp longer than any other blade I had.foureyes45 wrote:Look at these they are the best...I have used them a lot....very very good.
