I thought others have run into the same problem with arms that are not long enough!!
I made an extension using a couple pieces of aluminum angle iron and 1/4"
hard board. The table already had holes so I threaded the angle iron to accept 3/8" cap screws so it would not be necessary to put nuts on the inside. To remove the extension, simply back off the 3/8" cap screws. The hardboard holds everything together. For support for now I will use the telescoping legs. I want to use supports to the table carriage but the length would change with any change in table height. Gotta think about it some more.
I am like Dusty, I don't trust the telescoping legs.
