How do I use the Sketchup program?
I watched the tutorital. I talked mostly about doing houses and streets. Dividing subdivisions into zones by color coating. I just want to use it to design dog/bird houses and toys for my kids.

Hi,
We have had some discussions on sketchup and some of them may be of use to you.
I'd start with this really basic one below first and see if that gets you started.

We also talked about the book sketchup for dummies:

Here is another one:

While working through these you will find links to helpful learning tools along the way. Using the search feature you will find more information... at least a few hours of reading and playing for sure.
