Using a Mark VII Table top on my ER

Ok I have the table from my former now stolen Mark VII. I thought how cool I can put that on my ER and have a second table or even make a router table out of it.

Then the Ideal had a set back

Which I am sure most of you reading this will know already that the mounting tubes are not only larger in Diameter but set wider apart.

So I looked at it and said ok it will still work all I have to do is get some tubes that fit a ER and then dog leg them. Where they will fit into the mount on my ER. Problem solved now I have to find the tubing and figure out how to bend it using the Muffler Shop Bender machine!;)

Being as it is a lot smaller than 1 1/2 " OD I will have to figure out a sleeves to fit it and the shoes on the Machine.

Ok now it your turn do you think this will work?

If not what am I not seeing here.

Oh yeah Then Ihave to make a shim for the table top mounting bracket. You thought I forgot about that problem huh.

The original 10E had solid 1" round bar, not tube.

I would not attempt to bend this stuff.

I would make a flat bar to accept the 1" at the 10ER spacing, and a similar provision for 1 1/4" tubes going to the trunion at their proper spacing.

1 bar, 4 'tube' bores, 4(8?) tapped set screw holes.

Any difference in trunion pivot to tube/post dimension could also be allowed for by offsetting the two sets of bores.

You could likely use hardwood or plastic instead of brass and do the turning on a Shopsmith.
