DC3300 Question

Post by dizneykev »

I recently got a DC3300 off of craigslist. It is in decent shape, has the upgraded 24" hood and seems to have a lot of suction power. However, here is my question:

It does not have the handle upgrade on it. How useful is this and will I wish I had it?

It does not have any bags with it. What does everyone use for their collector bags, or do you always order them from Shopsmith? The band is there to attach a bag, I just do not have any.

Any suggestions, tips would be appreciated.

I am hoping to be able to enjoy my find real soon.

If you move it about the shop a handle is nice but if it sits in the corner and you don't move it - you don't need the handle. I move mine so I decided to make a handle, a fun little project for an evening.

Very large trash bags will work IF you can keep them 'attached'. It is best if you can see through them. Thicker plastic is better!

I used a contractor garbage bag from Costco and it seems to work fine and is held in place just fine with the stock hose clamp/band.
