Good evening everyone. I am putting the 510 back together and have a larger retaining ring left over. The ring is item number 61 in the 510 parts list section of the owner's manual. The part number is 501624. Does it go in the groove on the outside of the quill housing in front of the rubber bumper ...

Thank you David. Contact makes sense to me with the amount of sawdust generated. I'll take your advice for the inner bearing as well.

Newbie mistake

I checked out my Emerson this evening. I removed the back cover and and pulled the front out of the case. Newbie mistake was I didn't make alignment marks on the back and front parts of case. The four case screws bottom out and are not securing the front part. I ran out of daylight and will have to ...
