This makes it easier to install and you don't have to have it hanging from the tubes all the time if you are worried about the weight on the castors.

Wood magazine? I made some for sons and nephews. You made the trailer and 3 cars by cutting them out of a piece of 2x4? The wheels on the cars held them in position if I remember right. That would of been maybe a December issue from 84-85 maybe.

Mike,

I'd fill them with epoxy, but not sure if that is compatible with the finish you want to use.
