The tension is correct according to the gauge on the inside of the saw. As near as I can tell the guides are correctly set, just a bit of contact on both sides. I have tried varying feed speed/pressure and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I would guess that if any of these three points is ...

Bandsaw Blade Alignment

I seem to be having trouble with a 1/4" blade not cutting straight. I have adjusted everything to the best of my ability but it still cuts to my left as I face the blade- probably 10-15d degrees, quite an angle. The size of the piece does not seem to matter.
Any suggestions??
thanks

Mainly I wanted one unit at the regular height for turning and another with shorter legs for use with the table saw and band saw. If you have the room more than one it is a ...

This piece was quite dry. I seem to have better luck working with dry vs green wood although it is much slower for me. I decided to try the natural edge after watching these videos on an Ebay ad for a carbide tool.
Have fun- I'm trying

Thanks again for all your help. I have been in touch with several of the guys from the AAW chapter in Kennewick 80 miles from me. They have been as helpful as all of you. I am going to their next meeting in November and they have several members here in Yakima! Woodworkers sure are a class act. I am ...

Thanks Paul
I think this right. I sounds like the cutting edge of the tool should be a bit below the center line if I understand and that's not what I was doing. The tool in the lower photo looks like a bowl gouge but I can't identify the upper one. Could offer a bit more on the diff between a ...
