Re: Has anyone built a DC3300 dust collection system?
I have been very pleased with the SSDC3300 system but I was concerned when cleaning the floor about damaging the fan with large wood chips or even screws that may have fallen on the floor. I solved this problem by mounting a Dust Right Separator from Rockler,(http://www.rockler.com/dust-right-dust ...

Re: Older Vs Newer Bandsaw
I'll keep my cast iron table. Simply because I have the Carter Magfence II and that thing is perfect for the bandsaw. Easiest fence to set up and position. I wish my table saw top was cast iron.

I've got one of those on my 1978 model too. Only useful for dropping the screwdriver on the floor when you set it on the table.

Re: Arbor Press for Bearing Replacement?
Rather than investing in tools that you may only use once I would use the services of a good machine shop or a lawn mower repair shop. They do a lot of bearing services on mower decks etc.

Re: Arbor Press for Bearing Replacement?
Greasemonkey,
Thanks. The HF arbor press looks like it has a cut out in the front to accommodate clearance. It also has a plate that has different sized slots for different sized shafts. Wondering if the shafts for the Shopsmith will fit in the slots.

Thanks. The reason I asked about the arbor press is I'm looking for a tool that has more than one purpose. Specifically can an arbor press do the job or not? Can it remove and press back on bearings? Looking for anyone who has used an arbor press, like the one I linked to, to replace their ...

Arbor Press for Bearing Replacement?
I need to replace some bearings on my Mark V. I've seen the videos and read the posts about bearings and I'm comfortable diving into this project. However I do not have a bearing press or puller. Since there are other uses for a manual arbor press (such as lathe turning projects) and I don't want to ...

Re: Sketchup Users Take Note
I am reluctant to upgrade to the Yosemite OS because in it you can no longer sync an iPhone by hardwire connection to a Mac. Sunc can only be done in the Cloud. I would like to avoid that!

Nope, you can change the settings to sync manually by the usb cable. However you loose the ...
