I have a 30 year old Mark V 500 and would like to upgrade the table saw but don't know if I want to spend the money for the upgrade kit. I've noticed table hardware on ebay, does anyone know what is needed to upgrade the 500 to a 510 or 520? Main table, carriage, rip fence, three aux/floating table...

Having upgraded my 500 to a 520 and also having a Mk-7, I have two sets of matching extension/auxiliary tables. So, when needed (rarely), I am able to configure one of the setups as shown, using two end tables, two floating tables, plus two more floating tables used as outfeed support. This picture ...

Although I do own a SS jointer, I get better results by taping (double sided) a known straight-edge proud of a rough edge and then run that straight edge against the table saw fence to clean up the opposite edge. Then, run that edge against the fence and, voila, two straight and parallel edges. With...
