I get my blades from Infinity and they do sell them and so do other blade makers but I have no idea why. Better quality blades are extreemly stable and if you are having problems with that issue then you have something more to worry about, yes your saw is most likely missed up.

Saw Bade Dampeners
Anybody use them? Does it make a difference? Are there any brands other than Forrest?
Thanks

It would have been best if you did not tie down the wood. Really - all you need to do is pass the wood slightly against the router bit. [/quote]
Thanks guys. What I didn't say was that I did one side using the center pivot and one side without. Also, I edged the bit up fractionally with ...

Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. Since this was a new procedure for me, I pulled out solid info from each post and decided to use caution. I went with a "belt and suspenders" approach, using a router table, my circle cutting jig/board, a guide bearing ...

Re: Need some help
Thanks all--I have more confidence. I like the V-Shaped jig that Ed sent. My concern now is burn by lingering too long in one spot as I change hands. What I might try is putting a handle on the work surface using 2 faced tape. The way I visualize that in operation is my left hand steadies and pushes ...

Re: Need some help
Thanks. I realize now that my question was too general and vague. Let me be more specific: On square edged boards, I have no problem riding them down the fence of my router table thru 1/2" and 3/4" round-over bits. At a slow steady feed with slight pressure on the back and outside edge I get ...

Need some help
I'm making 12" round cutting boards--maple, walnut, the usual stuff. What's the best and/or what's the easiest way to do an edge round-over?
Thanks

Re: Drill Chucks
I've been slicing plugs from purchased hardwood dowels (Purpleheart, Yellowheart,Padauk,Canarywood,et al, 3/4" - 1 1/2".) There are 2 issues: as you pointed out, the cut produces end grain--I would prefer face grain; these larger sized exotic hardwood dowels are rather expensive and I'm going thru ...

Re: Drill Chucks
I realize that this is a resourceful group--that's why I posed the question here.
So, I want to buy a 1 1/2" plug cutter ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017Q1R4O/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1WO0LWTFI0BL8 ) which has a 5/8" shank.
