I put a chunk of Pantyhose over the filter, and I have a garbage bag with a chunk of wire fence inside the garbage bag in the bottom. This setup works for me quite well.

Shaft Guard 521889

I bought three of the Shaft Guards from ShopSmith and they did not come with washers and screws. Does anyone know what the hardware store equivalent of parts Washer 120392 and button head screw 516027 would be?

The bearing with the wire loop is missing off of the idler shaft, that would make it run at one speed or not at all with the sheaves being able to move at will. The sheaves being screwed together, made it run at a fast speed all the time. Do you have a link for the guy who rebuilds them?

Well JPG40504, you called it! I took the motor pan and belt guard off and took the motor out. As you can see in the picture, it is a took the motor out as you can see in the picture it is a General Electric 3/4 HP motor. I will take the motor out of the headstock tomorrow and take pictures as I have to replace the cord on it as a minimum.

As the title of the thread states SN300060, it would have been made in July of 1955.
