With the Power Station, when being used to power standard SPT (bandsaw and jointer, etc), the Main Drive Shaft is on the left side of the transmission box. The switch is on the transmission box right in front of the operator slightly to the operator's right.

This is not a particularly handy location. For example, when using the bandsaw, you have to reach around and to the rear of the bandsaw table.
The 2nd power switch on the Crafter's Station is on the other side of the transmission; placing it under the main table and about as hard to reach as the Mark V switch is with a floating table to the left side.

Nobody's said anything about this. But isn't the switch SS sells just an on/off switch. Whereas ya need different switch for the reverse function?

The 'spt' switch uses dpst switch function.
The 'saw' switch uses spst function(second pole not used).
Both turn the motor 'on'.(switches connected in parallel)
The 'spt' switch uses the second pole to energize the relay.
The relay functions as a dpdt switch which is wired to provide polarity reversal of the start circuit.

I have never seen a crafters station in person. But I am going to try and find a power station if one comes up close and the right price. I could see a crafters station being useful if nothing else just to add to my collection. I have to start over on some since I was out of work for almost two years some of my toys just had to go to help pay for the house to keep them in. Lost three ER's a VII, brownie and one 500. So have to start looking again. I also have to finish rebuilding my ShopSmith Radial Arm saw.
I alway wanted to have just one of everything they made. I still have two more ER's to finish also.
Half the fun is the hunting.
