Question on SS miter gauge
I recently purchased a SS miter gauge off of eBay.
The seller said it was a MK V gauge.
It has a round washer near the front that does not fit in my table.
Does anyone know it it can be removed?
Thanks,
Foster From Flint

The washer was added so as to be captured by the 'T' slot in the newer tables. Sort of a replacement for the lack of a front table extension.
Yes it is easily removed, but keep it for possible later use.

Should be obvious. Better post a photo. Be advised, there are a number of lookalike/knock offs of the Shopsmith miter gauge/pistol grip.ipbarnard wrote:Is it a small flat head screw?
There is a small hole in the bottom but I do not see a screw head.

Gale's Law: The bigger the woodworking project, the less the mistakes show in any photo taken far enough away to show the entire project!
Here are photos:
First is of the miter gauge in question. In the background is my 1955 for reference.
