Sadly none of my equipment is new enough to have t slots in the fences, so no personal experience.
T-slot extrusions are pretty much standardized and the OP said he had used 1/4 20 bolts.
The heads on the 1/4 20 T-bolts measure .720x.508x.095.
If a wider head is desired there are 5/16 18 T-bolts, they measure .832x.508x.095.
Yeah, but you are fortunate enough to have 2 10ER's. Doesn't get any better than that!
OK, yeah, I am sure that they would work, and it is a great idea, I was just wondering if you had any personal experience. I may order some and post back. (I have spent my tool budget this year though .... :/)

The elevator bolts do work. I have done it and my first try was done with a metal nibbler and while it worked it looked messy. You sure don't have to take off much to get the ones from Lee Valley to work. My second try I just used a file and give it 20 stokes on each side. I think 15 would have been enough.
So as the rules states, no picture it didn't happen, picture and it happened.

Yea, I've had a few of those. Mostly before I figured out that I was lactose intolerant!
