I was working on a birdhouse and using the GWSS to make the cuts. Since I had no idea of the angles and since I wanted to do a bit more on the project and I want to see how the GWSS might work for angle cutting........ This is for the bottom of the birdhouse and yes it doesn't really need to be done but it was an excuse to play.
So I guess most of you know that sometimes for non critical times you can simply put the bottom of your angled piece that you want to match on the main table then tilt until the angle of the table lines up with the angle on the work piece. Except in this case the secondary angle doesn't let you do this well. So time for a little trick of the trade.

Then you can transfer the angle to the table/blade:

Now using the line I put on the work piece I used the GWSS to make the cuts.

Are you making that bird house for a specific bird species?
While the house looks large and is large on the outside it is really for small birds. The sky light needs to be shaded so the front of the roof is extended. I also hope to add a wire grid or something to keep other critters from raiding the nest. We have had raccoons do that a couple of times so a new design this year.
