I don't know if Jointech still markets a system that mounts on the 510 or 500 for that matter. I just got the system for the 520 and it has no system I am aware of to raise or lower the extension table. However, the system is easy and quick to mount on or remove from my Shopsmith.shydragon wrote:For the 510 model, they are showing a table raiser. I didn't see it mentioned for the 520.

What is required to mount the Jointech router table. I know you have to attach 520 rails to the table but is the tabled pre-drilled to accept the rails or do you have to drill yourself?
I assume the router plate has to be drilled yourself as I don't see an option for predrilled plates for specific routers.
Any other quirks in the initial set up?

The Jointech router table is ready to accept the 520 rails and yes, you will have to drill the plate for your specific router. I think I remember having to use longer mounting screws for putting the rails on the table but I'm not sure on this. It's been a while since I put mine together.

That depends on what kind of damage that you do to it. He He He And what kind of clothes you are wearing.Ed in Tampa wrote:The more Ed shows us of the jointech system the better it seems. I really like the phenolic table and how that I have seen the aluminum strips where you mount the fence rails convinces me that, that table will not snag with age.

I ordered the Jointech complete system for my 520. This includes the router table without the front and back rails. I will have to buy the rails but the problem is that they are not in stock and SS can't quote a delivery date.
I've been watching eBay but none have shown up there either.
Looks like I'll get the Jointech soon, but the router table will be unusable for a while.
