Does anyone have pictures of the Greenie lamp?
I am looking for pictures of the original lamp that attaches to the Greenie. Anyone have anything? Thanks in advance.
Re: Does anyone have pictures of the Greenie lamp?
There was a lamp (rare now) for the Model 10. I have one (actually two). I don't think there was one sold specifically for the Greenie. There was one sold for the MK V long after the Greenie. I have 3 or 4 of them. If I am mistaken someone will correct me. Russ?

I thought that I saw one in the old Greenie accessory catalog. It had a special mount for the head unit.

Never had one in hand, but IIUC a mounting bracket came with it which allows easy movement from tool to tool (with additional mounting brackets).

Yes, that is the one I mentioned above. You could buy extra machine side brackets for multiple tools. As I remember that came out well beyond the Greenie days. Of course it can be used on a Greenie.JPG wrote: Sat Mar 21, 2026 11:26 am Never had one in hand, but IIUC a mounting bracket came with it which allows easy movement from tool to tool (with additional mounting brackets).

There was a Lamp shown in a 1955 catalog, for example, that was in the Mark 5 section. It was the same lamp for the Model 10's and I have one on my Model A-34 Jig Saw shown below. Sorry I don't have a better picture of it. The Jig Saws both the one for the Model 10's and the later, beginning in 1954, Model 610 Jig Saw for the Mark 5 have a mounting hole for that lamp.

The Lamp has a washer like ring end for a bolt to attach it to the tool. The end cap of the lamp fixture has the Shopsmith logo on it.
_ .
You can see the mounting hole near the top of the Arm on the Greenie Jig Saw below.
_ .
I have seen other lamps mounted on Shopsmith/Magna tools that were not made by Shopsmith/Magna. Below is a rather famous one.

If you need any additional detailed pictures, I featured a NIB example I acquired a couple of years back in this post:
