I have used a conixal sanding disc with a sled and the table fence to flatten narrow frame parts glued to a plywood panel. It worked well though took me a couple times to learn to keep it flat against the table and fence. I might add an L shaped auxiliary fence to give me more room between mtge fenc...

I remember seeing a post awhile back where someone mounted a tail stick on a wooden shop building post and setup the ShopSmith inline with it.

I decided to take my !arkV apart for moving and cleaning. One step was to remove the pivot pin which allows the headstock tubes to be raised to an upgright position. Lost Art Press has a free book on workbench building. It includes advice on materials and moisrue content considerations. Theyve built quite a few "wet" benchs as well as dry wood benches.
