I just ordered my double tilt from Lowe's, using my 10% veterans discount.

Between Lowe's price & the discount, plus free shipping to Alaska I saved about $175!

Now, let's see how long it takes to get here! :eek:

I've got the upgraded casters, and the PP, so now I will be using my old headstock ...

I too look real hard at the new (and it is new) HK 55. My reasons for getting the TS 55:

"Only" a $100 more.
It is NOT billed as a carpentry saw.
The saw blade that comes with it is NOT a fine tooth blade, a new fine tooth costs $78.

I went with the TS 55 & am very happy!

I've always been told that my dad's side was 100% Irish, and according to the DNA I have 7% Irish! Through ancestry work I've found a fair amount of Irish (certainly not 50%), but I believe the DNA goes way back not just the last 200-300 ...

Plus I've had companies provide me with a tracking number & yet the item has not actually been "shipped" for a few days after that. They meet the "We ship the day we get the order", but it hasn't actually gone anywhere.

I've been with the USPS for 24 years, I am currently a processing machine mechanic.

Letters are sorted to the individual carrier on a machine that runs 40,000 pieces per hour.

Flats (magazines, large envelopes, etc) are also sorted to the carrier level.

Small and large parcels are sorted to the ...

I just did about a dozen zip code store selections and in all the cases the price was the same. WI, IL, MI, DE, IO, OH and a few others. Interesting.

Maybe during the last price increase somebody neglected to change the Alaska price since it 'wasn't in the US'. :rolleyes:

What I've found interesting is that Lowes is location specific as far as items available & price.
