Hi Rick,
Is this the tool rest at Woodcraft that you are referring to?
Thanks,
Jim Lee

Weld tool rest stem
That would be excellent because I would not have to wait a week for another tool rest to be sent BUT would it be safe? Has anyone else done this. I am pretty abusive on this thing because I am brand new to turning. It is broken off right where the stem connects to the rest itself.
Thanks,
Jim Lee

Lathe tool rest stem size
Hi, The 3/4" by about 2" stem on my 10ER lathe tool rest broke. Can someone reassure me that I can use a Shopsmith 5 tool rest. Also if you have one you want to sell I am very much in the market. This is just the very top of the tool rest where you actually put your hand on like in this Eb...

Anyone turning on a 10ER?
Has anyone out there done any turning on a 10ER? I am just starting to turn and wanted to know if there are any hints or tips I should know about. Is there a way to slow the speed down with getting the coveted speed reducer setup?
Thanks very much,
Jim Lee

Penn State set me straight
Thanks for the tip on Penn State. They had an adapter to go from 5/8" to 1" whatever TPI and a very reasonably priced self centering bowl chuck that should allow me to get to the inside of my very first bowl.
Thanks,
Jim Lee

Lathe chuck with jaws
Hi, I am looking for a lathe chuck with jaws that will allow me to turn the inside of bowls by holding on to the to a tenone on the outside of the bowl. It looks like most chucks are made for 3/4" or larger spindles. I have a 5/8" on my 10ER. Is there an adapter that is available to use a ...

Loose biscuits on 10ER
Hi, I have a beautiful 10ER that I restored a while ago and have just recently found time to use. Everything is working great with the exception of the biscuit joiner attachment. I know that this was made for the Mark V but since the arbor size is the same I am able to use many Mark V accessories wi...
