Quill Spring

Any advice before I get started??? My quill return spring dosen't work. 'm going to try too get it apart to see if the spring is broken, or maybe a previous owner worked on it and didn't wind it back tight. Was wondering if there was/is a heads up on doing this???? I forgot

I forgot to mention, that the jig saw that I got with my 10er botton is solid. The freebee from yesterday's road trip, is open on the bottom.......:o Gonna try my hand a cleaning some rusted turning blades, and see if I can get them sharpened. I made a road trip yesterday to Tebbetts Mo and came home with another Jig Saw, complete assembly. I had taken mine apart last week to get ot freed, (was stiff, full of nuts, like acorns) anyway I got mine back together and realized that the bottom bracket where the set screw is was split open. Lathe Adaptor

:confused: I did finally get the rest of the stuff from the previous owner of my 10ER. He did have the adaptor to hold the blade, to make it a table saw. O.k. my serial number isn't listed, but the numbers fall in the date of March, 1950. Now to find the broken piece for the Jig Saw. I haven't noticed a "Classified" section on this web sight. Is there one?

The "Head/Top" of the lower chuck actually is split open. It may have been like this when I got it, really don't know. Think it'll have to be replaced, looks like it may be alluminum,or maybe potmetal.
