Ramp Safety

Be aware that the tractor can flip over backwards going up a ramp going forward... I learned that the hard way...Since then I always back the tractor up the ramp...

When I went to school (50 years ago) our school saws didn't have guards on them. We were taught to build a 6 inch box in our mind around the saw blade and never let a body part enter that box ever. I scored a dc3300 on craigs list last week for sixty five dollars. I put a hearty garbage bag on it (used masking tape to hold it up while I put the clamp on) and planed several boards and was very happy to have all the sawdust in the bag and not on the shop floor.

I've had shopsm[PHP][/PHP]iths off and on for almost 40. years. I have a shop full of stand alone machines but more often than not I use the shopsmith. It's a 1957 greenie.

I've had shopsmiths since 1975. I live in rush county in. I have a 1957 greenie. I could show someone how really great a shopsmith is. I also have a full shop of stand alone tools but i go to the shopsmith more often than not.
