spindle alignment
Is there any lasting way to align the spindle and tail stop. The eccentric collar seem to move. Please advise.

I honestly don't know. I took it apart and cleaned it, maybe I reversed the washer, but after that nothing moved except for rotation. The dadoes were straight. I do know that I did everything you guys suggested and something worked. The last step was the cleaning and reassembly of the quill lock.

Algale, db5, beeg, JPG40504, and greitz you guys are great. I tried all of your solutions. The real problem turned out to be the quill advancing slightly, enough to mess up a dado. The one solution that seemed to work the best was realigning the washer on the quill lock. I can't thank you enough ...
